Claude 4 is here: Why you should care
+NEWS: Meta faces AI Talent drain ; AI hallucinations in court documents are increasing

TL;DR
Claude 4 is a major step forward in AI capabilities—excelling in coding, reasoning, and long-term task management. It’s powerful, flexible, and well-suited for business automation and support. However, access is limited at the $20/month Pro level, making it more viable for serious use only on higher-tier plans.
Claude 4 is here!
In the ever-evolving world of AI, Anthropic has just raised the bar again with the launch of Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4—two models designed not just for coding nerds, but for real-world business impact.

What’s New?
Claude Opus 4 is now hailed as the best coding model in the world. This isn’t just hype—it ran autonomously for seven hours solving complex software tasks. Think of it like having a senior developer that never sleeps.
Meanwhile, Claude Sonnet 4 has taken a huge leap forward, balancing efficiency and performance. It’s perfect for those of us who need power, but also care about keeping things lean.
What Can These Models Actually Do?
Code, Reason, & Solve: Whether you’re updating a website, debugging software, or automating tasks, Claude does the heavy lifting.
Use Tools in Parallel: Think of this like multitasking on steroids. It can search the web, execute code, analyse documents—all simultaneously.
Memory & Continuity: If you’re working on long-term projects (aren’t we all?), Claude can now remember key details and maintain context across sessions. No more repeating yourself.
Claude Code Is Now Public
For the builders out there—Claude Code is officially open to everyone. You can run it in your IDE (VS Code, JetBrains), use it in your terminal, or plug it into your GitHub workflow. It’s like pair programming with an AI partner that doesn’t need coffee breaks.
Is It Safe?
Anthropic has activated AI Safety Level 3 protections for these models. In plain English: it’s designed not to help with harmful activities (no, it won’t teach anyone how to build a bioweapon). But yes, it might raise flags in extreme misuse cases—based on internal testing.
🧨 Side Note: There was a bit of controversy when a researcher hinted at a “ratting mode” (AI alerting authorities). Anthropic clarified this isn’t part of the public version—it was just internal test behaviour under extreme conditions.

Benchmarks? Yep.
Claude Opus 4 outperforms GPT-4.1 and Gemini 2.5 in real-world software tasks (SWE-bench: 72.5%, Terminal-bench: 43.2%).
But even if you don’t speak benchmark, just know this: it’s fast, precise, and practical for your business needs.
Why Should Business Owners Care?
You don’t need to understand neural nets to appreciate that Claude 4 models are about doing more with less. Whether it’s:
Writing content
Automating support
Accelerating development
Drafting reports
Final Thought
Claude can help you scale intelligently—without scaling your headcount. But - Beware: Claude 4 packs serious power, but the $20 Pro plan doesn’t offer enough access to make it practical for serious use.
If you want to use it - be ready to invest.
